During my university studies, I developed skills in using Blender to create and sculpt 3D models of my character designs.
This allowed me to visualise their appearance from various angles and poses, providing valuable reference points.
I further explored this technique by 3D printing select models, such as the child with the onesie and lion head, to gain a tangible understanding of their dimensions and proportions.
These physical models served as references for my illustrations, enabling me to accurately capture the characters' features.
Additionally, I experimented with incorporating faux fur into some designs, measuring and observing its texture and shape to inform my illustrations.
This process was part of a larger project where I created original characters and narratives for a children's book, focusing on developing their personalities and backstories.
By combining 3D modelling and printing with traditional illustration techniques, I was able to refine my character designs and bring them to life in a more immersive way.
